Hue
Situated on the banks of the Perfume river Hue was the Imperial capital of Vietnam and the seat of the Nguyen Dynasty emperors. The Citadel is the major attraction, surrounded by thick walls and a moat, it was home to many palaces and shrines.
The Perfume river is an ideal place for a dinner cruise or just a walk along its waterfront promenade. To support the local community consider having a “blind massage” at the institute of the blind as all proceeds go to supporting this charity.
Only 30 km from Hue is the Alba Thanh Tan hot springs where you can relax in a private hot tub.
